After a successful venture in 2006,
where the first time team placed 11th overall, Bob & Nadine Saville will
be heading back to "The Rock" with Huey to compete in the 2007 Targa
Newfoundland. Last year was a learning year that has allowed them to
feel more confident with running together this year. Bob spent the
better part of the week in 2006 understanding the subtleties of
Newfoundland roads and how Huey would react to them, and Nadine
developed navigational skills that allowed for better communication as
the week went on. By weeks end last year, driver, navigator and car were
clicking on all cylinders. This experience should transfer nicely into
2007.
A new member of the team for 2007 is
Bill Dunster, owner of
Autobahn Collision Center in Charlotte,
NC. Bill has agreed to crew for the team and comes with a lot of
knowledge and experience working with Huey. In effect, Bill built Huey,
doing all the body, paint, roll cage and other structural modification
work that has made the car what it is today. As a 914/6 owner himself,
Bill yields a mean wrench and can pretty much do anything on these cars.
We are very happy that Bill has agreed to accompany us to Newfoundland
this year.
